University Health Network (UHN) operates
the Toronto General Hospital (TGH), Toronto Western (TWH) &
Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH)
In 2002 UHN tested wireless AP’s on their own site
After trials & comparisons the LComm 2020™ delivered more flexibility
& savings for their wireless infrastructure
Wireless pilot sites in the TGH Operating Rooms and in the TWH Emergency
Rooms, were very successful
Our team has installed the new 12 story building at TGH including
a state of art 22 room Operating center on the 2nd floor
March is deploying the system in their old building as the Departments
move to the new facility
TGH is using Wireless Laptops, SpectraLink phones, Wireless Computer
tablets as well as computers on carts with portable power all on
the LC2020™
TGH is also using ConnexALL for notification of Events, Alarms &
Virtual Alarms created to alert key staff when required for help,
all at the click of a mouse
